　　上面的段落作为手段，达到了上面所说的对手段的要求：第一句话交代了关于本文的话题-学生评价教师的背景信息，吸引读者的注意力;第二句话复述了题目，最后一句做了主题陈述。这样的开头可以满足ETS的高分标准。

　　另外一种开头常用语让步转折的结构中。复述题目并阐述理由，然后通过让步状语从句的句式表明作者主要观点，并暗示文章结构。这种写法同样非常适用于托福的开头段，同样是这个例子：

　　Universities usually require students to give a comprehensive evaluation based on different aspects such as sense of humor, clarity, carefulness, and patience.
