在写作中，很多同学写完了自己的论点以后就开始不知所措，下面该怎么继续？如何来支持我的中心句？学员很是纠结。不会写支持句成为诸多烤鸭心中永远的痛。下面我们就来谈谈写作中支持句的写法。

　　1.解释说明法

　　例如：In many countries, the birth rate is decreasing so that families are smaller with fewer children. These children are often spoilt, not in terms of love and attention because working parents do not have the time for this, but in more material ways. They are allowed to have whatever they want, regardless of price, and to behave as they please. This means that the children grow up without consideration for others and without any understanding of where their standard of living comes from.

　　前三句都在说出生率在许多国家不断降低，导致了孩子们被过分地宠爱，他们可以得到他们想要的任何东西或者可以为所欲为。那溺爱孩子会出现什么后果呢？考官在这里就用了this means that这个句子对前文进行了解释说明，孩子们长大后不会为他人着想，也不会珍惜生活。

　　常用短语与句型：in other words，to be more precise, by that I mean，this is primarily due to，to some extent it is true in that，the fundamental reason for this is that，that is to say, this means that

　　2.延伸法

　　例如：The greater flexibility of the primary timetable allows for more frequent, shorter sessions and for a play-centered approach, thus maintaining learners' enthusiasm and progress. Their command of the language in later life will benefit from this early exposure, while learning other languages subsequently will be easier for them. They may also gain a better understanding of other cultures.

　　课表更具灵活性保证了以游戏为中心的教学法，因此确保了学习者的热情和进步。前后两个句子是因果关系，这里用了thus这个单词引出了maintaining learners' enthusiasm and progress。

　　常用短语与句型: so，hence，thus，therefore，accordingly, as a matter of fact,  contribute to，result in， so that，in this case, as a result of this

　　3.举例法

　　例如：However, traffic congestion will not be solved by changing the type of private vehicle people can use. To do this, we need to improve the choice of public transport services available to travelers. For example, if sufficient underground train systems were built and effectively maintained in our major cities, then traffic on the roads would be dramatically reduced.

　　首先提到了为了解决交通堵塞，我们应该改善公共交通。然后很自然地提出了修建足够的地铁来缓解交通问题，这里就用了for example来引出了例子。

　　常用短语与句型：for example, …for instance, …a typical/reasonable/identifiable example is that…a classic illustration often cited is ….a great case in point is that…the point is best illustrated with the example of…

　　4.对比法

　　例如：The reasons for this trend may involve the recognition that a young adult who passes directly from school to university is rather restricted in terms of general knowledge and experience of the world. By contrast, those who have spent some time earning a living or travelling to other places, have a broader view of life and better personal resources to draw on.

　　第一句说了没参加间隔年的学生他们在知识和经验上都是有限的，然后就提到了参加的学生会获得更深刻的人生观和更好的人力资源。这里用了by contrast，将参加间隔年和没参加间隔年的学生进行了对比。

　　常用短语：in contrast，by contrast，on the other hand，on the contrary
