  In the wake of social development, it seems to be a commonly accepted phenomenon that teenagers are more familiar with singers and film ac-tors rather than domestic historical figures. This essay will examine the contributing factors involved in such issue and propose relevant measures.

  From my perspective, a possible cause of this problem is that youths would find history together with well-known ancient people hardly as-sociated with the modern life. Compared with those celebrities recorded in the unchangeable history, pop stars' entertainment news and gos-sips, which youngsters can easily access to through various kinds of medias on a daily basis, are more associated with people's daily life. The unpredictable and amusing nature of such news can, to some extent, spice life up. Therefore, following pop stars on social networking site is now regarded as a way to keep pace with the times. Furthermore, an-other striking factor is that those who contributed to the development of the history are normally described in words with practically no visual images or videos. Basically, people can only learn about their names and achievements from texts, which was less attractive than contemporary celebrities whose pictures can be readily found on the Internet.

  The key to increase young people's interest in famous people in the his-tory is to enhance its connection with every life. To be explicit, TV seri-ous and movies could be shot based on historical figures. As a result, people are able to follow such TV dramas as well as following the stars. Since a majority of youths are fond of playing computers games, new role-play video games could be designed, in which teenagers are al-lowed to experience the history personally in the role of a historical fig-ure. Both methods mentioned above could not only raise people's con-cerns but also create distinctive characters instead of written descrip-tion.

  To conclude, it is the limited connection between historical celebrities and modern life that restrains youngsters' interest in them. This issue could be effectively settled by strengthening such relation.
