  Many people, and particularly children,whether they be infants or those young chil-dren, enjoy playing computer games and watching TV. Although I can understand that these games and TV series can sometimes exerts positive influences on the young mi-nors, I believe that they are more likely to have a harmful impact.

  On the one hand, video games can be both entertaining and educational, while TV series and some programs can also be appealing and insightful. Users, or gamers, are trans-ported into virtual worlds which are often more exciting and engaging than real-life pas-times. All of these exposure can offer good input for children to have sources of inno-vation. From an educational perspective, these games encourage imagination and crea-tivity, as well as concentration, logical thinking and problem solving, all of which are useful skills outside the gaming context. Furthermore, it has been shown that computer simulation games can improve users' motor skills and help to prepare them for real-world tasks, such as flying a plane and these activities, with its attractive and dynamic ways, equip children with a sensible solving mind in the ways that other activities can seldom actualize.

  However, I would argue that these benefits are outweighed by the drawbacks. Both vid-eo games can be highly addictive because users are constantly given scores, new targets and frequent rewards to keep them playing, and and TV shows,series or other enter-taining programs can also attract the minors' attention for hours. Many children now spend a huge amount of time each day trying to progress through the levels of a game or to get a higher score than their friends and following the endless updated programs one after another. This type of addiction can have effects ranging from lack of sleep to problems at school, when homework is sacrificed for a few more hours on the computer or console. On a cognitive level, the reducing creativity of brain  may also be linked in part to the sedentary lifestyle and lack of exercise that often accompany gaming and TV addiction. This means that they may gradually lose curiosity for other scientific fields, causing a loss of explorative mindset.

  In conclusion, it seems to me that the potential dangers of video games and TV pro-grams are more significant than the possible benefits.
