When it comes to this topic, the historical place I want to visit is definitely the Buckingham Palace located in the center of Westminster. It’s where the Monarchy of the United Kingdom live and work. Besides, it’s been a focus for the British at times of national celebration. It’s quite an amazing place attracting millions of visitors flooding to this Palace during the season of travelling, bring quite amount of profits to England. The history of this Palace is quite long. It can date back to 1703 when the Duke od Buckingham wanted to build a large townhouse for private use. It was a huge task. Then 50 years later, it was acquired by King George 3 and then enlarged. Until now, the Buckingham place has still been one of the largest and most complete existing architectural complexes of Royal Palace in England， boasting cultural heritages and imperial landscapes. By the way, I’m infatuated with European architecture and the history of it. The architecture of the Palace best represents the Royal architectural style of the 16th century Britain. On the exterior, it’s grand and magnificent. You can hardly take your breath at the first sight of it. U will love it to death. The interior is resplendent, exactly the place you imagined as the “Imperial Palace”. As for me, I have dreamed of the day when I can visit it coz I’m always the big fan of British Royal Family and I really want to pry on the daily lives in the palace. Maybe it’s just like the plots u always see in the TV series, or maybe it’s quite different. The Buckingham Palace is quite mysterious, making you further on search for tons of information on the net so you can dig for the more histories about it and the Royal Family. |
