2. Describe a character in a book, film, or poem, explain why you like it.
Mike is the character I like in a book called “Keep the Aspidistra flying” written by George Orwell. In the story, he is a persistent man who is determined to be a poet. In order to pursue his dream, he abandons his well-paid job. Instead, he works as a low-paid bookstore assistant day after day, so that he could read more books. The biggest benefit of ‘the reform and open policy’ is the booming economy. One of the most classic examples is from my family. I remember my mum told me that when she was a little girl, she could only buy new dress once a year. This is very common to every family at that time. However, now we can buy new dress whenever we feel like. In conclusion, the “reform and open policy” improved the economy and life quality in our country.
