Task 1:
The line graphshows how the quantities of land used for organic food changed from 1985 and2010.
In 1985, the landuse for organic food in country A and B were in equal number (around 25thousand hectares). Both country increased their land use in 1990, with a moresignificant rise in Country A, hitting 60 and 30 thousand hectaresrespectively. A leap was found in both countries in the next five years, climbingto 160 and 140 thousand hectares respectively in 1995. From then on, country Aexperienced a more drastic rise, reaching the highest point in 2000(280thousand hectares),and the number remained almost stable in the next fiveyears. After that, A drastic dip occurred, dropping to 140 thousand hectares in2010.However, Country A lowered its increasing rate from 1995 and the figurepeaked at 180 thousand hectares in 2000,before dropping to the similar numberto country A in 2010(150 hectares).
Overall, the landuse of organic food both rose over the first 15 years while both dropped in thenext 10 years in the two countries.
Task 2:
Some people thinkcreative artists should be financially supported by the government. Othersthink they should find financial support from other resources. Discuss bothviews and give your opinion.
As an importantgroup of the society, creative artists always need financial support to bettertheir creation. However, it seems that the question over how creative artistshould be funded can hardly reach an agreement. Some people claim governmentshould give the assistance, while others hold they should find aid from otherresources.
On one hand, creative artists contribute themselves to the culture development of thecountry, meaning that backing up the creative artists is a very importantsocial responsibility of the government. In china, excellent actors or writersacquire special funding from the government, which looks quite rational becausethe government recognizes and values their importance in terms of culturalconstruction. Besides,if creative artists understand they can askfinancial help from the state, it gives them huge motivations for art creationmore than any other resources would do.
On the other hand, other resources, such as enterprises or organizations are also available tofinancially support the creative artists. However, as enterprises ororganizations have their own interests, creative artists may not be easy toacquire the fund if certain promises cannot be made. Compared with government, thefunding abilities of enterprises and organizations are also limited.
In my opinion, government should be the financial supporter of creative artists, not onlybecause government has more powerful abilities, but because it inspires theartists to make art creations that are beneficial to the cultural developmentin a more significant way.
