The four-year university life was the only time when I stayed away from home for so long. The university is located in Guangzhou, which is a metropolis in southern China, and it is almost a thousand kilometers away from my hometown. In 2006, I graduated from high school in my hometown, considering my scores in the College Entrance Examination and my intention of major to study, the Sun Yat-Sen University in Guangzhou seemed to be the most suitable destination for me to go to. Speaking of my campus life in university, it was so colorful and fulfilled that I even cannot pick one single event to be the most memorable one. Basically I managed to seize every opportunity which I should have seized during the university time, for instance I have been the vice president of the student union of the College of Law for two years, I have taken part in various major English debates on campus for many times, and I have been one of the representatives of our university and attended some international conferences in different cities in the world before graduation. As I was almost on the go throughout the four years, I barely felt the loneliness or homesickness as most of the other students did. Instead, I felt very strongly that I should take this once-in-a-lifetime chance to speed up my growth, and leave my university with no regrets. Well, I think I did it. |
