Describe a book you like/ you recently  read/something you enjoy reading

You should say:

What it was

What it was about

How often you read it

And explain what effect the book had on you.

Last year I happened to get hold of  a series of books called the Tibet Code, and it is a well-known best-seller  in China, which introduces the Tibetan Culture and the mysterious legends on  the Western plateau of China. The author uses the first-person point of view  to reveal the legendary stories behind the thousands years Tibet history, and  some major Tibetan Buddhist sites in that area. As an adventure novel, there  are stimulating plots of scientists, archaeologists, or special troops  risking their lives trying to discover the historical truth in this forbidden  area of survival, which make the readers crazy about the story. Speaking of  the frequency I read it, I suppose it was almost every day in the first  month, and maybe once a week in the following several months before I  finished reading it. Since the series contain more than a million words, so  it’ll definitely be time-consuming if one wants to digest the contents  thoroughly.

I got fascinated by the Tibet Code  because it is really an eye-opener. I grow up in the south China, and the  unpredictable climate, the wild life and the religious culture in the west  seem so amazing and attractive to me. The book means a lot to me because  after reading it, I came to realize that the world is not as simple as I used  to believe, instead there are way more challenges to meet and difficulties to  encounter, so after reading it I strongly felt that I should also come out of  my comfort zone and embrace the colorful world.
