The sophistication of a societal structure is only justified on the basis of its system of social welfare, which, on a large scale, is closely related to the living conditions of the whole nation. An outstanding criteria for such basis lies in the financial aid from the government to the retired who, in another sense, are tax payers and are subject to such nationwide support legitimate in every terms. Truth being told, however, a precautional act of setting up a personal fund is also agreeable and has an element of truth as is analysed in the following essay.
Taxation is responsible for the largest coverage of national expenditures, as a result of which national projects should entail systematic welfare to guard against risks for the retired. A thorough system of protective policies is fundamental to social stability and sustainable development.
However, phenomenal and infrastructural as the national support is, the individual participation toward a sound well-being serves as a haven against unforeseeable disasters in the life of the retired people due to the benefits of personal funds, which boast of much convenience and more flexibility. Compared to governmental aids, individual saving is a sound choice in special occasions.
Overall, the flexibility of personal funds makes itself as good a choice as governmental aids. What the government should do is boost the economy so as to improve the life standard of its people, making them less vulnerable to disasters and difficulties.
