When I read the question, I thought of the  ambition that I had since my childhood. I dreamt of being a president when I  was very young and I have had this idea for almost 20 years. The most  apparent reason was the job was really attractive for me at that time. For a  five or six-year-old kid, being a president in a country may sound incredible  but it refers to manipulating the people of that whole nation; in other  words, citizens in the country are supposed to hear my words and follow my  instructions. Although I was still a child, I knew the feeling of controlling  is much more charming than being the led. It’s really nice to enjoy the sense  of achievement and success in work when everyone listens to me and regards me  as their director, even spiritual leader. Secondly, this particular career is  expected to bring me more opportunities on travelling as state visits are common  for presidents. If I were a president, I could go wherever I want to in the  name of my honored duty. However, later when I grew up, I realized that the  ambition of being a president is not realistic and the reasons that I liked  to be a president seemed quite simple and childish. Being a well-know politician  is far more than travelling and controlling, it not only requires wisdom and responsibility,  but also calls for outstanding ability on almost every aspect. Besides those  concerns, the most apparent reason that I haven’t achieved the ambition is  due to my current interest. I don’t want to devote myself into politics now;  instead, I focus more on my major, especially on investigating software on  learning language. For example, recently I am conducting research on  educational software on L2 learning that is suitable for English learners in  countries where English is used as a second or foreign language like China  and India.
