In the year 1950, there was a coastal town named Pentlandlying near the sea. A road was constructed in the middle of the town, linkingthe sea in the north to the south. Two pieces of grassland were located to theeastern and western of the road. An industrial area was situated in thenorthwest of the town, which was connected with a stretch of car park in thenortheast by a road in the north crossing from west to east.

P3（写出改变，2007年相比1950年的变化包括了数量上的变化，和本质的变化）

Great changes happened in Pentland over the past 57 years. Amarina was built over the sea to accommodate several yachts. A cinema wasestablished in the south of the town, which was just off the west side of themain road linking the north to the south and several homes settled down in theopposite side of the main road. It can be seen that the road in the northernpart was removed and rebuilt in the southern part. A lot of shops opened upalongside the road, covering the eastern and western of the town. The car parkdisappeared and was replaced by some apartment and we can see there was a newcar park called mutistorey taking place of preceding industrial area. A swimmingpool and a park were constructed neighbouring the multi storey car park, whichwas linked separately by roads.

Overall, the coastal town, Pentland, took on an entirely newlook over the past 57 years.

观点类的文章，大家一定要很清楚，此类文章必须得有自己的立场，要么就是同意，要么就是不同意，不能说基于这些理由我同意，而基于那些理由我又不同意。这样变成没有立场的文章，在审题的评分标准中是不会超过6分的。所以在这里，首先我们要先用5分钟构思，同意这种说法的理由有哪些，不同意的理由有哪些，然后根据观点的数量和质量，来决定写同意一边还是不同意的一边，注意写一方观点通常写2个理由就够了，中间段要留一个段落写让步段。所谓让步段，就是先肯定一下对方观点的合理性，再进行有力的反驳。

【同意的理由】 1. 使得面试官和面试人员之间面对面交流mutual communication and meet interviewees in aface-to-face way

2. 人性化的和灵活多样化的personal-orientedand flexible.

【不同意的理由】 1.提前准备好答案prepare for the “standardanswers” in advance

Para 1: Introduction.（背景引入，摆明用意）

Inthis contemporary society, it has been a wide-spreading method for many largecompanies to select potential employees through interviews. However, therearouses a wide doubt about the reliability of this means and people suggestthat there should be some other better ways in choosing an employee. In myopinion, interviews are a comparatively reliable means to select talents andshould still be regarded as a main method for companies.

Para 2: BodyParagraph 1 (原因段1+2)

The reasons to supportthe view that interviews are good method for recruiting people are listed asfollows. First of all, unlike some other selection methods, taking writtenexams for example, interviews produces direct and mutual communication betweeninterviewers and interviewees. In other words，interviewsenable interviewers to meet interviewees in a face-to-face way. It is quiteimportant because interviewers can use this opportunity to observe intervieweesfrom a more comprehensive way including their appearance, manners, etc. This kindof method not only allows interviewers to know better about the interviewees’responding competence but also their true personal abilities since the answerscould not be prepared in advance.

Para2:Contradiction（让步段）

However，many people, if not most, arestrong believers in the claim that interview is not reliable to choose potentialemployees. A short-time interview should not be a determine way to decide whichperson to employ and it is also not realistic. Taking interviewing papers forinstance, there is a great chance for employees to prepare for the “standardanswers” in advance, rendering the interviewing results untrustworthy. Butoverall， I think this is lesslikely today，for employers judge aperson from other aspects apart from writing test.
