TASK 1： 地图题

Compare thechanges of town Bridell from 1800 to 2000.

真题点评：地图题，比较一个名为Bridell的地方在两百年的时间里面的变化。地图题注重随着时间写空间变化，强调方位以及地理特征相互之间的关系，因此在写作时要着重描写变化和左右。

考情解析：这是继10月10日之后再次出现雅思的地图题，基本遵循了雅思出题的规律，差不多在一个至一个半月的时间出现图形题。在这样的情况下本月30日的考试出现流程图或者地图的可能性大大减少，而在12月中下旬出现地图题的可能性有所增加。

写作分析：这道题在思路上比较灵活，建议写成一边倒加上让步段，即承认出国留学对于语言和文化的学习有很多好处，但是也存在一定的负面影响。

Recentdecades have witnessed a surging tendency that more students choose to receiveoverseas education, especially higher education. Those proponents of thisaction claim it not only widens students’ knowledge and horizons but also cultivatestheir independence and personalities as well as benefits their foreignlanguage. For me, this is true in most cases.

Firstof all, studying abroad can cultivate students’ abilities to live independentlyand form their own characters. Students have to deal with many problems whenthey study abroad. They have to learn how to be accustomed to a new environmentand how to get along with the teachers and classmates. During their studies,they can acquire some interpersonal skills.

Also,studying abroad can provide a good language environment for students. Foreignlanguages, especially English, one of the dominant languages in the world, are especiallyfunctional in most job fairs. Of course, well-management of language can removelanguage barrier and easier access to international cooperations whichemphasize on language skills of their employees.

Admittedly,studying abroad also brings about many disadvantages. For example, some studentswho have never experienced the long separation with their parents  may be confronted with some psychologicalproblems, range from loneliness to homesick. Moreover, the tuition fee is veryhigh, which may lay heavy financial burden to the average people. However,these barriers can be removed through varying meanings. Thanks to moderntechniques such as internet and mobile phones, students can keep contact totheir parents whenever and wherever.Students can also relieve their financialburden through scholarship as well as part-time jobs.

To sum up, it is undoubtedthat studying in another country enables those students to be more mature andself-independent as well as gain more language skills. Therefore, if managedwell, this means is definitely a good choice for the students.
