这道题目的本质其实就是比较艺术和运动员的重要性。对于大多数同学来说肯定是体育运动，也就是athletic这一块相对更加的熟悉，展开的更多。所以我们选择政府应该更支持体育。

支持运动员可以提倡全民健身，提高人民的身体素质。Supporting athletics such as an Olympicteam can stimulate people exercise and keep health. By watching a sport game,people will be more interested in doing exercise just like those athletics whothey like.

支持体育运动可以促进经济的发展。Supporting athletics such as an Olympicteam can push sport's development forward which can also stimulate economic. 举例Beijing's development can prove thisview. During the Olympic Games, Beijing has developed not only intransportation but also in environment protection. A game can change a city insuch a short time which impressed us a lot. In the contrast, supporting thearts certainly cannot achieve.

  支持体育运动可以给大众提供娱乐。Supporting athletics gives our citizenmore entertainment than arts. In this day and age, more and more people spendtime on watching sport games. For everyone can easily understand a supportgame, but have difficulties in understand art. Government might spend moneysupporting the arts without obvious effects. However, sports have muchdifferences from arts that government's spend would not waste.
