原创范例：
My experience with a foreign language began in junior middle school, when I took my first English class. I had a kind and patient teacher who often praised all of the students. I eagerly answered all the questions I could, never worrying about making mistakes. I worked very hard and recited words and expressions almost every day. As a result, I was at the top of my class for three years and subsequently for another three years in senior middle school. At that time, we didn’t have facilities to use while learning English, except for a tape recorder. Later, when I went to college, I bought a radio and listened to BBC or VOA regularly. My vocabulary was enlarged; my listening and writing competence was improved. But there was a very difficult thing to me. I noticed there were many students who spoke much better than I did. I began to feel intimidated and was afraid to speak. It seemed my English was going to stay at the same level forever. Fortunately, my English teacher was very kind and patient. She encouraged me to speak and gave me chance to voice my opinions, and she always praised what I said. I gradually became confident and I practiced speaking more. As time went by, my spoken English was also largely improved. I was grateful for the teacher. |
