Part 2新题:
An important letter you received recently
这是一篇比较难的话题,大多数同学没有写信的经历,也没有收到过信件。但是这里可以写一些关于收到的email, postcard等东西的话题。但是说到底,还是要写自己的experience。
比如关于email的:
The most important letter I received was my offer sent from Glasgow University. I was obviously chuffed a bit when I got this from receptionist. I still remember how thrilling I was as I have been working hardly for this for several months!
In western countries, offer notice is always sent by letter with the signature and stamp of university on it. I have applied over 30 universities by myself, all the notice of university, including conditional, unconditional offer and receiving notice will be sent by letter, but sometimes reading letters really is a nightmare. Apart from the boring and dull time of waiting, the most interesting thing of receiving a letter is the unexpectation of it. When you receive a letter and open it, positive or negative news are accompanied in it. However, if you have received too many letters, let’s say, over 20 for example, there is a way of getting your result of offer letter fast, which is read the key words. For the good news, all you need to do is looking for the phrase “we are delightful to inform you that”. Inversely, if the news is negative, there will always be a word “However”. This trick really is useful.
