(改写题目)Theline chart demonstrates three different crimes, namely car theft, houseburgling and street robbery in England and Wales from 1970 to 2005.

(描写cartheft这条线)Compared with house burgling and street robbery, the number of car theft wasthe highest during the period from 1970 to 2005. In 1970, the figure for cartheft was about 0.4 million, which was twice the number of house burgling andten times the number of street robbery. Then the figure climbed steadily,reaching 1 million in 1990, after which the figure peaked at1.6 million in 1995.The following ten years witnessed a sharp decrease of figure, ending at 1million in 2005, which was the same as that in 1990.

(描写houseburgling) In terms of house burgling, the number experienced ups and downs from1970 to 2005. Between 1970 and 1995, the number of house burgling showed anupward trend, from 0.2 million to 0.7 million. After 1995, the number had anopposite trend, decreasing sharply to 0.5million in 2005.
