个人角度：青少年特点

年纪小On most occasions, the kids who have committed a crime are very young.

没有能力很好的辨别犯罪和意识犯罪会带来后果at an age like this, it is impossible for them to have the mental ability of a normal adult that is required torecognize what is a crime, and moreover to realize theconsequences of it.

So the fact thatkids have yet developed the thought processes of an adult demands us to treatthem differently.

家庭角度：家教失败导致孩子行为不良

It is the duty ofthe parents to teach their kids values, morals and the like. Similarly,teaching kids about not handling something that is dangerous or getting them tounderstand the consequences of their actions is the job of the parents. If theyfail to do so, the children will not understand it. So it isconsidered unfair to treat them whose wrongbehaviors are caused by the parenting failure in the same manner as that ofadults.

个人角度：了解行为后果，以防一错再错

The punishment will not only make them understand the consequences oftheir action, but also deter them from committing any furthercrimes, knowing fully well that they are not given any special considerationbecause of their age factor.

社会角度：犯罪率下降

When there are harsh punishmentsmeted out on children who commit crimes, others willlearn from their mistakes and deter from doing anything drasticlike such. It will thus hopefully lower the crime rate in society.
